Baslow Edge - Peak District Walk
Sunday 26th March 2017
Taking advantage of the fact the clocks had gone forward we delayed our walk today. Looking at the Mother's Day crowds heading out of the Peak District when we drove there it was a good decision.

Looking across to Curbar Edge as we head down to Calver.
The footpath takes us below Baslow Edge.
You can tell by the number of cars parked on the road that it has been a nice day.
No lambs yet in this part of the Peak District.
Not suprisingly the Derwent Valley Way follows the river Derwent.
Curbar Edge in the distance as we head along the lane into Baslow.
To the right of Curbar Edge is Baslow Edge.
Looking back towards the weir as we cross the bridge in Baslow.
The churchyard in Baslow was full of daffodils.
Baslow Edge comes into view as we head along Bar Road.
Gardom Edge remains on my to-do list.
Normally you can't stop them looking at you but now I want a photo for my coursework folder they decided tea was more important.
Looking across to Gibbet Moor from the bench where we sat having tea.
The Derwent Valley from the same bench.
The Eagle Stone with White Edge in the distance.
The light is starting to fade as we head across Eaglestone Flat.
In the distance a photographer was waiting with his tripod in the hope of a decent sunset, he was to be disappointed.
